The use of an interleukin 1 inhibitor in a patient with atypical course of periodic fever

The article presents a case of periodic fever (PF) in 35-year-old patient, who did not have hereditary and proven genetic factors the disease, which was characterized by an atypical course with variable duration frequency severe abdominal pain febrile attacks, increased acute phase reactants ineffectiveness colchicine intake. Differential diagnosis wide range conditions performed. Daily subcutaneous therapy interleukin 1 inhibitor (iIL1) at dose 100 mg used as diagnostic marker to confirm PF. As result therapy, rapid (within few hours after injection) relief current attack normalization serum CRP levels, further complete control over disease (no relapses) were achieved.
